Perched on the tip of the Dampier Peninsula, the land and seascapes of Cygnet Bay are incredibly varied and intensely beautiful. The interior of the property features truly Australian “bush” with wattles, gums, termite mounds and the infamous red “pindan” soil of the inland Kimberley. Closer to the coast, the bush is interspersed with dense belts of lush remnant rainforest that remain standing from ages long since past. Amidst rocky outcrops and rolling sand dunes, the coastline features mangrove-fringed creeks and bays, open areas of salt marsh and vast intertidal sand-flats. A myriad of rock, sand and estuarine beaches dot the tide line. On the water, near-shore sand cays and islands are surrounded by seagrass meadows, fringing coral reefs and sponge gardens
